Rafał Stronk is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at University of Warsaw, where he is currently pursuing a PhD in civil procedure and constitutional law. During his studies, he was actively involved in academic initiatives and completed internships at the Constitutional Tribunal of the Republic of Poland, the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Poland), and the Office of the General Counsel to the Republic of Poland. He has also worked in both Polish and international law firms. He collaborates with the Poznań Human Rights Centre as a research fellow in the project led by Prof. Aleksandra Gliszczyńska-Grabias “Militant Democracy: A Friend or Foe of Democracy in Europe? Rethinking a Century-Old Concept.”

His main research interests include the theory of civil procedure, the right to a court and access to justice, anti-discrimination law, constitutional review, the relationship between constitutional law and civil procedure, as well as the impact of the human rights system and ideological currents on judicial interpretation and application of the law. For his master’s thesis titled “The Revocation of the Effects of Third-Party Intervention and Impleader in Light of the Constitutional Right to be Heard,” he received awards from the Scientific Association of Civil Procedure Scholars (first prize) and the Office of the General Counsel to the Republic of Poland (third prize).
